Lived Experience

I am a 1st-generation half Indonesian, half American man. I struggled throughout childhood and early adulthood with psychiatric conditions and relational issues. I am also privileged to be able-bodied, cis-gender male, and a legal citizen of the United States.

Although we may share similar identities or experiences, I am mindful to tailor our time together to your individual needs and differences. I welcome and am open to any discussion of my identities, our similarities, and our differences into our work together.

Education, Training, and Clinical Experience

I am registered as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with the state of California (CA BBS #136953).

I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego. Much of my education focused on seeing client issues from the lens that conceptualizes mental health issues as products of relational dynamics, issues, and/or childhood experiences.

I have worked in a variety of settings, including partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and community based organizations that focused on serving marginalized groups as well as clients suffering from severe mentally illness. I have worked with diverse set of age ranges including school-aged children to older adults but most of my experience has been with teenage and adult men. Since the beginning of my practice, I have a special focus on treating men who are dealing with anxiety, anger, depression and relationship issues.
